about our ministries

We believe that telling people the good news of Jesus and living the good news out in our lives goes hand in hand. This way we bring God the glory He deserves. By being family, we love and care for one another. As we grow in our walk with the Lord, we become more like Him as we serve people.

  • The Children's Ministry partners with parents to help kids begin to know God and grow in their understanding of His Word. Our team makes sure kids have a blast here!  Literally!  BLAST is on Wednesday nights from 6-7:30pm.  Also we have age appropriate Life Groups for our kids on Sunday mornings at 9am.  Get more info on the Children's Ministry page.

  • The Student Ministry is committed to making disciples of Jesus in the next generation.  We want middle and high school students to see that God calls us to so much more than what they see around them, and that they can play a part in something much greater than themselves. We host The Gathering on Wednesday nights from 6-7:30pm in the Hub. Get more info on the Student Ministry page.

  • COLLEGE MINISTRY

  • WOMEN'S MINISTRY

Our Women's Ministry meets the third Thursday of each month for our Ladies Fellowship at 6:30pm.  Our ministry also has other socials, plus an OverReaders Book Club, a Hearts & Hands Ministry sewing group that meets the second & fourth Tuesdays at 10:30am, and an annual Retreat.  We host the Bible Study Fellowship which is a group that unites Christians of all denominations that is held during the school year on Tuesdays from 9:00-11:00am.

  • MEN'S MINISTRY

Our Men's Ministry meets the second Saturday morning each month -- from 7:05-7:55am. It's early enough and short enough so that you can still have time to do your Saturday things. These gatherings focus on encouraging men to form a solid "band of brothers."  We also host "Charge," an annual event designed for spiritual renewal for men in the church.

  • SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY

Our "Senior Saints" meet on the third Tuesday of the month for a program and fellowship luncheon. Lunch begins at 11:30am in the Fellowship Hall, and the program concludes about 1:00pm. This is a time to make new friends and to enjoy a good time together.

  • MOPs -- Mothers Of Preschoolers -- meets on the 1st Thursday of the month - September through May from 9:30-11:30am. Visit the MOPs page for more info.

  • WORSHIP MINISTRY

John 4:24 says that God is "seeking" or looking for true, authentic worshipers. Our Worship team wants to lead our church to the throne of the Almighty.  The Worship ministry is always looking for vocalists, musicians, audio / video techs, and choir members.  If you have gifts in musical ministry, contact Stacie to get plugged in.

  • PRAYER MINISTRY

  • CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER (CDC)

CDC is a weekday preschool ministry on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the school year. Our purpose is to honor God by providing quality care and facilitating growth in the lives of young children in a loving and safe environment where they can develop spiritually as they grow emotionally, physically, cognitively, and socially. We offer learning experiences based on the authority of the Bible and consistent with the Christian principles of Mandeville's First Baptist Church. Fill out this form for more info.
