FS Fall '25 Update

Upcoming Events and other Student Ministry Happenings:
Itâs back and better than ever! Weâre relaunching our Student Worship Team and Student A/V Team, and weâd love for you (or your student) to get involved.
⢠Student Worship Team: Mark Berger will be leading this team, discipling and training students to become faithful worship leaders. Team members will not only grow in their musical and spiritual leadership but also gain real experience leading their peers in worship.
⢠Student A/V Team: Stevie Jones will be heading up this team, equipping students who are interested in the tech side of worship. Students will learn how to run the soundboard, create the right mix for worship, manage lighting cues, and operate our presentation softwareâall while supporting live worship services.
Parents, if your student hasnât signed up yet, now is the perfect time. Students, if youâre ready to grow your giftsâwhether on stage or behind the scenesâwe want you on the team! Simply fill out the form below, and Mark or Stevie will be reaching out soon with details about our first training day.
Weâre excited to see how God will use our students to lead in worship and serve with excellence!

You are most likely familiar with SYATP and most likely participated in it if you were in school at any time from the early 90's through current day. SYATP is a wonderful evangelistic effort that God has used and continues to use in a mighty way as students, faculty, parents, and other adults gather on this day every year to pray for their fellow students and faculties of their schools and for other schools across the nation.
Students, please not only consider, but make an effort to help organize and be a part of the upcoming SYATP event at your school. Need help organizing a SYATP on your campus? See the SYATP Planning Guide below and ask Reese about what you can do to get this organized and going on your campus with your peers.

Since the beginning of the year I have had in the works to start working on many different things in the Hub to keep it in shape and continue to be such a great facility that we are blessed to have on our campus. Most people won't notice some of the "issues" but when you're in there as much as I am or the students are, you start noticing things of course. It's mostly minor stuff, but enough of it that it requires more than just myself. I also value the expertise, wisdom, and opinions of others as I don't consider myself an interior designer by any means.
On Sunday, September 28th we will meet at 3pm in the Hub for an initial meeting to walk through the entirety of the Hub to make a list of the many things that need some TLC/fixing/replacement. From there, we will make a gameplay of how we accomplish these tasks, who can help with certain aspects, and a date of when we can establish a work day for parents and students to help with some of these projects.
Earlier this year several parents signed up that they would be interested in helping in some way. If you didn't sign up then, here's your chance to still be involved in this effort. If you plan to attend on Sept. 28th please let me know below:

The Day of Global Youth Evangelism is a one-day event where youth leaders mobilize their students to boldly share their faithâtogether, on the same day, across the globe.
Powered by Dare 2 Shareâs trusted training, this event gives you everything you need to prepare your teens for real Gospel conversations, from ready-to-use resources to a simple plan of action.
On November 8, 2025, students will be trained and sent out to bring the hope of Jesus to their friends, schools, and communities. Itâs more than an event. Itâs a launching point for Gospel impact that can ripple far beyond one day.

Fall Retreat will be much different than the past few years but in such a great way! Many of you have experienced the amazing retreat facility that Hunt Branch is. We are beyond excited to have finally booked this amazing space for our student fall retreat. That said, this means we need a good number of parents/adults to attend to help. Here's how you can help:
- Food team. I will need a team of leaders who can handle planning the meals for the retreat, buying them in advance, and cooking them during the retreat.
- I need adults who can help drive students there and back on Sunday and just be a present adult leader. If you can't commit to staying the weekend as a leader but can help with transportation, please let me know.
Here are some photos from Hunt Branch Lakes! These are a few years old and they've added several things since then.
