What We Believe

We believe that Jesus Christ is God. Jesus provides us with the clearest picture of God that humans can receive (see John 1:1, 14). The person and work of Christ should rise above all other considerations in our formulation of the doctrine of God as well as our doctrine of salvation. Nothing is more important to us than the person and work of Christ. 


We believe that the Bible is God's revelation of Himself to people. The entirety of the Bible (the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation) is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God (see 2 Timothy 3:16-17).


We believe that Jesus is the only way for people to have a  relationship with God. Jesus declared this Himself, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). 

We further believe that...

  • God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.
  • Man is made in the spiritual image of God.
  • We were made for eternity, so we will exist forever in Heaven or Hell.
  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Furthermore, He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice on a cross. He arose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. He will return to the earth again to reign as the King of kings and Lord of lords.
  • Salvation is God's gift to us. However, only those who receive Jesus as Lord and Savior receive this gift.
  • The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, lives in every believer from the moment of salvation. He empowers believers and provides spiritual understanding.
